Polyflor LVTs score BRE A+ first

Polyflor continues to lead the way in environmental progress after all five of its Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) ranges received a positive assessment from the Building Research Establishment (BRE).

Expona Design, Kudos, Bevel Line and the Camaro Flooring Collection all received BRE A+ Global certification (ENP 429) for major use areas while the Colonia Homeline range achieved an A rating for domestic use.

These ratings are significant for the vinyl flooring market because it is the first time that specific LVT product ranges have been individually assessed by BRE Global.

“Brands often flaunt the generic BRE ratings of their type of product but we can provide customers with a more accurate reflection of a particular product’s green credentials,” explains Simon James, Polyflor’s Marketing Manager.

“Our LVT ranges have always been popular because of their aesthetic quality, durability and best value prices. Now they are backed by the most highly recognised environmental accreditation in the UK, so customers don’t need to compromise and are getting the complete package.”

These latest BRE results are testament to Polyflor’s commitment to offer the most eco-friendly products possible and reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing vinyl flooring. Polyflor has a further 20 product ranges within its homogeneous, heterogeneous and safety product portfolio that boast individually assessed BRE A+ ratings.

Polyflor LVT products can be recycled through the Recofloor Vinyl Take-Back Scheme, of which Polyflor is one of two founder members, to further reduce the carbon footprint of a project. Through the scheme vinyl off-cuts are recycled back into new flooring while uplifted, or end-of-life material, is used in the manufacture of traffic calming products such as traffic cones.
