BENCHMARK Konnect Engineered Façade System and BENCHMARK Aluminium Recess-fixed Cassettes in bright contrasting colours have been chosen for Bradford College to give the building its stunning architectural façade.
Bradford College commissioned a multi-million pound campus to provide an innovative and technology rich learning environment for its students. The 24,000m2 six-storey building, is named after famous Bradford College alumnus and internationally acclaimed artist, David Hockney.
Bond Bryan Architects developed a design for the new facility that is both progressive and in keeping with the industrial buildings that are common to its surrounding area in Bradford.
BAM Construction, the main contractors for the project, and Scotland-based façade specialists Charles Henshaw & Sons, specified BENCHMARK Systems to meet the demanding schedule for the programme.
BENCHMARK Aluminium Recess-fixed Cassettes were installed to give the building its stunning architectural façade in bright contrasting colours. The Cassettes were specified in blue, white, and a range of reds and greys in a Post Powder Coated Matt finish. Installation was incredibly fast due to the façade being installed onto the BENCHMARK Konnect Engineered Façade System, a multi-spanning module system that has excellent thermal, structural and fire performance.
