Qubiqa Ltd, suppliers of mobile and static storage solutions for use in offices, libraries, archives, record offices, museums, hospitals and health centres, are proud to announce that they have been awarded the Carbon Neutral company certification.

The process involved an independent expert assessment of the company's carbon emission. As a result of this a reduction plan is in place to engage greener business operations and offsetting the remaining carbon emissions through a high quality, verified carbon offset project. Qubiqa Ltd have chosen to plant trees in the UK to offset their relatively small carbon footprint.

Many specifiers require that companies address their environmental priorities and are actively looking for providers that can deliver increasingly sustainable storage solutions. By achieving carbon neutral company certification Qubiqa Ltd has once again shown its commitment to sustainability.

Qubiqa’s systems have always scored highly on sustainability - the shelving systems are built to last and are manufactured to exceedingly high standards at the Qubiqa factory in Denmark. Decades ago, Denmark recognised the need to protect the environment and to promote and safeguard sustainable development. Today, green technology is one of Denmark’s biggest exports.

Easily relocated, extended, modified or upgraded to save on costs - as well as the cost saved to the environment of scrapping an entire system. The Qubiqa system really is a fully sustainable product.

Qubiqa only use certified steel in their systems - this allows use of a thinner gauge steel because Certified Steel is much stronger. Other systems mostly use uncertified steel which has no guarantee of strength. This is compensated for by using a thicker gauge of steel which just adds to the amount of steel used in order to cater for the equivalent strength achieved by Qubiqa using the Certified “thinner” gauge. No wood products are used in the shelving.

All shelving is made from powder coated galvanized steel. Galvanizing increases both longevity and resistance to rusting in a damp environment and therefore our systems last longer than others. The Qubiqa shelving systems are (knowingly) the only systems in Europe to be galvanized as standard.

Qubiqa Limited also takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously and holds ISO 14001:2004 certification in respect of the supply and installation of static and mobile storage systems.
