Booth Industries was specified for the design, manufacture and site installation of 5 high integrity blast-resistant single-leaf doorsets at a UK RAF bunker during the cold war period to provide self-sufficient operation and protection.

The 18” steel doorsets are provided with a reinforced concrete leaf, retained against blast rebound with multiple horizontal shoot bolts operated by a central hand wheel providing quick simultaneous operation ensuring that all the bolts are engaged. A cast-in frame ensures integrity with the building structure whilst a double pivot hinge provides uniform sealing compression on a napalm seal.
