Patina boards from Cembrit are hydrophobated (sealed) on edges and faces, which prevents discolouration and moisture staining. The board formulation does not contain quartz, although trace quantities may be present.
Supplied in a standard size, the boards can also be cut to satisfy the specific geometry of the facade, or simple formats such as a weatherboard appearance.
Patina cladding is available in a range of eleven through-colours, including Black. The natural hues give visual subtlety and flexibility. This provides a display of colour which accentuates the fact that this is a natural material with character.
Cladding panels should always be installed using a ventilated construction method, allowing for a 25mm hollow air gap between the substrate and the back of the panel. A minimum 8mm gap between the sheets must also be allowed, at both horizontal and vertical joints. All framework must be securely fixed, and provide a level surface.
Cembrit also offers a technical advice service regarding product selection, detailing and installation.
