Redland modular adaptors maintain roof integrity and aesthetics

With more products now being installed at roof level, it can be difficult to ensure cables and pipes that lead from them do not compromise the weathertightness of the roof. Items such as solar panels, thermal water heating systems, TV aerials and satellite dishes, all require connection into the building at some point.

Traditionally cables are passed under the nearest roof tile into the roof space. This creates a gap under the tile that could lead to water ingress that could further lead to a rotting wooden roof structure or worse. Alternatively cables are run down the roof and in through the side of the building. This can leave an unsightly mess of tangled cables over the roof.

The Modular Outlet Adaptors have been carefully matched with Redland’s interlocking concrete tiles in order to avoid disrupting the appearance of the roof after installation. The range includes: a Cable Adaptor which can secure up to eight cables; a Solar Adaptor for larger cables and solar thermal piping; and the Aerial Adaptor for attaching TV aerials and satellite dishes.
