Rockfon team at their Peak in Wales

A team of senior staff from Rockfon recently undertook the daunting Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice. Providing respite, palliative and end of life care to children in Wales who suffer from life-limiting conditions and are not expected to reach nineteen years of age, Tŷ Hafan offers love, care and support for the children and their families, and relies almost entirely on public donations.

Starting at 4.30am on Saturday 12th June, the Rockfon management team, which consisted of Jenny Brookes, Claire Atchison, Tim Spencer and Darren White, began the day with a windy ascent of Snowdon, followed by a lengthy and arduous climb up the mighty Cadair Idris, also in Snowdonia, before the final ascent of Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons.

The team walked 20.35 miles with a total ascent of 9,397ft (2,864m), completing the challenge in 9hrs 6 minutes walking time. Jenny Brookes, Marketing Manager for Rockfon, spoke for the team: “This has been a fantastic experience. It was hard work and a definite challenge, but the views were amazing and knowing that we’ve raised so much money for the Hospice made it all worthwhile. Thanks to all our friends, family and customers who supported us.”
