RonaDeck Resin Bound Surfacing enhances Exmouth seafront

Devon County Council specified RonaDeck Resin Bound Surfacing from Ronacrete to resurface the pedestrian area at the Queens Drive seafront area of Exmouth.

The seaside town of Exmouth in Devon has undergone a transformation in recent years, part of a plan to bring the town up to date and to improve facilities for both residents and tourists. Devon County Council asked Ronacrete Approved Contractors Route One Highways to resurface the pedestrian area.

Route One mixed the two-part resin with a drill and paddle and then mixed the resin with the aggregate blend in a forced action mixer, prior to the surfacing being applied by screed sledge to the macadam base.

The use of a screed sledge ensured an even spread of the aggregate mix and speeded the application of the surfacing which covered around 1000 square metres.

The surfacing was ready for foot traffic after just four hours.
