Icopal’s FireSmart® is the first flat-roofing membrane system to have been approved by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), and the first to be listed in the Red Book of Approved Fire and Security Products and Services. The system also exceeds all proposed EU fire standards.
FireSmart® roofing systems comprise a range of rigid-polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation boards and a range of vapour-control layers that are polyester reinforced and styrene butadiene styrene (SBS) modified bitumen. Products and specifications are available for application using either the FireSmart® flame-free application technology, or traditional torch-on and pour-and-roll applications.
FireSmart® cap sheets provide a fire-protection layer, shielding the roof from both spread of flame and fire penetration.
The Icopal patented, flameless bonded systems provide high-speed, safe installation and maximum wind resistance.
FireSmart® flame-free, torch-on and pour-and-roll systems have either a 10, 15 or 20 year insurance backed guarantee, depending on system specification.
