The Centres green sedum roof is fully accessible to show solar PV and solar thermal technologies in action. It features structural decks by Tata Steel; 820m2 of RoofDek D100 and 62m2 of RoofDek D32s, installed by Composite Profiles UK Limited.
RoofDek D100 was used as the structural deck for the main roof, at a pitch of 18°. Composite Profiles were required to incorporate air sealing into the installation, using mastic sealant tapes and filler blocks.
The D100 deck was supplied as 10.12m multi-span sheets to provide maximum cover and ensure minimum junctions for potential air loss.
RoofDek D32s was used to cap the stairs and was at a pitch of 31° and again necessitated the incorporation of air sealing.
