Wheelchair users should be able to approach, transfer to, and use the sanitary facilities provided within a building. This requires the provision of a wheelchair-accessible unisex toilet. The relationship of the WC to the finger-rinse basin, in addition to other accessories, should allow a person to wash and dry hands while seated on the WC.
The space provided for manoeuvring should enable wheelchair users to adopt various transfer techniques, allowing independent or assisted use.
With this in mind, AKW offers a range of wheelchair-accessible unisex toilets, or Doc M packs.
Four packs are available: the fully-compliant close-coupled Doc M; fully-compliant low-level Doc M; close-coupled standard Doc M; low-level standard Doc M.
Key features of these AKW Doc M packs include:
- fully compliant variants
- standard pack available in White or Blue
- mirror and clothes hooks included in fully-compliant packs
- water-saving flush valve standard on all packs
- screw-down cistern lid standard on all packs
- soft closing toilet seat and lid standard on all packs.
A range od raised height toilet pans with cisterns; washbasins and taps also available from AKW.
