Multivap 250, 300 and 400 breather membranes are produced with a layer of spun-bonded polypropylene on both sides of a highly permeable film. This ensures a membrane which is not only extremely strong and durable, but also provides excellent waterproof protection.
Multivaps high permeability allows water vapour to pass freely through to the tile area where it can easily disperse, therefore reducing moisture within the roof and protecting against the potentially damaging effects of condensation. Multivap is an ideal underlay for use as part of a construction that is designed to meet todays requirements for energy-efficient roofs.
For partially-supported applications, Multivap breather membranes should be draped across the rafters to allow drainage beneath the tile battens.
A Ubbink eaves protector (EPS) should always be used to ensure protection of the eaves area. As with all underlays, Multivap must be installed with the requirements of The Building Regulations and approved documents, all relevant British Standards, such as BS 5250:2002 and BS 5534:2003, and the provisions of the BBA certificates.
