Sayfa Systems’ Rhino Load Deck system at Harley’s Place

Sayfa Systems’ Rhino Load Deck system at Harley’s Place

As part of an ongoing supply relationship with one of the UK’s leading house builders, Persimmon, Sayfa Systems’ Rhino Load Deck system has been used on an exclusive development in the village of Bagworth, Leicestershire.

A small development consisting of two, three and four bedroom properties in a quiet, desirable location nine miles west of the city of Leicester. Residences were built to a high specification with many individual design features. Sayfa Systems provided a full supply and fit service for the contractor on this project, working within the building schedule’s demanding timescale.

Although the Rhino Load Deck is lightweight in nature, it also provides ban impressive level of load support, with a rating of up to 600kg per square metre at a 3 metre platform height.

The Bagworth development utilised 2 metre RhinoDeck configurations for general bricklaying use, and also for the installation of floors and roof trusses. Concrete floors were delivered to site on the back of a lorry in completed form and then craned straight in position. The stability and excellent loadbearing capabilities of the decking enhanced the speed and simplicity of the process, and increased the work efficiency of site personnel in the process.

The RhinoDeck system provides a safe and stable platform for working at height, ensuring a reliable fall protection barrier between the site worker and the fall hazard/ level substrate. In this project, the contractor enhanced safety management by the additionalplacing of air bags directly onto the platforms for fall arrest purposes. This augmented approach is made possible due to the conducive design of the decking, and is not usually possible with alternative/competitive structures.

The flexible design concept of the system allows for virtually any issues encountered on-site to be dealt with in a straightforward manner. The structure can be constructed in situ and built around whatever obstacles, irregularities or building profiles are present, without any need for preassembly design activity.

A particular feature of the Bagworth development was the existence of a number of different roof shapes, but the RhinoDeck coped comfortably with these challenges.
