Schueco Jansen steel door passes EN 12400 standard

After successfully completing 1 million cycles during an independently staged endurance test, a Janisol door from Schueco Jansen has achieved Class 8, the highest standard for functionality and durability according to EN 12400. This top-of-the-league classification means that the Janisol thermally insulated glazed steel door is now officially confirmed as being 'Heavy Duty'.

The test door, 1,250mm wide by 3,100mm high and weighing 185kg, was fabricated solely from standard Janisol profiles, hinges and components; no special parts were used. The test was carried out by an independent testing company, Construction Products Services of Braunschweig, Germany. The "Heavy Duty" classification applies to both steel and stainless steel versions of the door.

Taking into account whole-life costing, the test result underlines the particular suitability of Janisol doors for heavily trafficked public areas such as shops, restaurants, airports, schools, hospitals etc. The proven durability of the doors is further enhanced by outstanding thermal and sound insulation properties.

Schueco Jansen Janisol doors are part of a comprehensive range of glazed, non-insulated and thermally insulated steel door, window and façade systems, including fire protection versions, that are sold all over the world. In fact, at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Schueco Jansen doors were specified for the spectacular 'Bird's Nest' Stadium, proof that their appeal is truly international.
