Secure enclosures

Avon Armour manufactures and installs a variety of secure enclosures.

Reception and cash counters are fitted with fixed or sliding-glass screens. Reinforcement and upgrading of existing offices is a speciality. Sliding screens easily open and close, providing safety and an attractive, welcoming reception area. Speech can usually be heard through the gap between the fixed and sliding glass.

Screens can be provided with any thickness of safety, fire-resistant, anti-vandal or anti-ballistic glass. Panic buttons can be provided so any operator can close all positions at twice normal speed.

Counters meet BS 8300:2009 for fully accessible counters. Concealed speech rails are usually included; for noisy areas, voice-amplification speakers and microphones form part of the system.

A door leaf and its frame are critical when providing a secure envelope. Avon Armour doors range from manual attack to shotgun and ballistic.

Control can be by registered key, digital pin, swipe, proximity, video or hands-free. The latest physical recognition systems are also available including hand shape, fingerprint, facial recognition or iris scan. Radio transmitters can also be used to release the doors remotely.

The range also includes external windows, steel walls and steel/glass roofs.
