Type of works: design, manufacture and installation of a gastight hinged double-leaf door.

Booth was awarded the design, manufacture and installation of a gastight hinged double leaf door to prevent airborne contamination within a nuclear site.

Challenged by crane rails the doorset was to provide maximum airtight performance and used a series of removable and fixed sealing plates.

Multiple sealing clamps provided seal compression, and hinged panels allow the door leaves to swing open.

Key operated access interlocks ensure operation at permitted sequence only with a double-pivot hinge system allowing the double-leaf doors to hinge clear of the area traversed by the crane.
