SILKA CS Elements

SILKA calcium silicate elements are an excellent building material with a particularly low environmental load.

They can be used on a large and varied range of projects including house-building, commercial and industrial buildings, renovation and agricultural buildings. Blocks are predominantly used for foundations, cellars, load-bearing and non loadbearing internal walls as well as external walls.

Xella produces a large range of SILKA products including blocks, chamfered blocks and elements.

Advantages of calcium silicate are, among others, good sound insulation (due to a high volume weight /mass), substantial heat accumulation ability, considerable load-bearing capacity and high fire resistance.

The elements come in various thicknesses with a working length of 1000 mm and in heights of 545 mm and 645 mm. SILKA is a lime-sand product, with a very smooth finish, capable of delivering significant onsite time and money savings upon completion.
