A mix of heavy-duty shutter products were installed for BAM Nuttall Ltd on behalf of SITA.

A total of 22 DB100 steel industrial shutters, of sizes over 7,000 x 8,000mm, were installed inside the building, and a further 14 DB501 fast-acting doors (5,760 x 8,250mm) were installed on the outside face of the building to reduce heat loss, dust and noise levels. Finally 20 SDS10 fire-rated steel doors sets were installed around the perimeter of the building.

The fast-acting doors are fully-controlled via loop detectors and special 1.5m light-barrier kits with complex bespoke logic systems, making the facility doors fully automatic.

All products were manufactured from Fortress’s in-house manufacturing facility.
