As part of their ongoing development, the four star Miramar Hotel in Bournemouth specified Smart Fire UK to reinvigorate their empty and redundant fireplaces.

The existing fireplaces had their chimneys and flues blocked up and it was thought impossible to re-fashion them back into working fireplaces. However, because Smart Fire’s EcoSmart fires are clean burning and produce no fumes, they were seen as the perfect alternative. The new fires have also provided the Hotel Miramar with a cost effective and green source of heating.

For many years the fireplaces in the hotel have been purely decorative because the chimneys were no longer functional. The fireplaces now look stunning and give off a surprisingly effective amount of heat. For example, this winter the Miramar were able to turn the central heating off in the main foyer and just rely on the heat from the fires alone.
