Lumax has been designed to maximise all available natural light. Lumax blinds ensure that zones are sun and glare free while also letting in enough brightness.
Screening to protect VDU screens can significantly reduce light levels to a dim and depressing level. A room with no sunlight can lead to lethargy and tiredness. There are then increased energy costs for lighting.
Lumax works by reflecting daylight through its top louvres onto the ceiling whilst the remaining louvres stay closed. This diffuses the light and eliminates glare. The blind can still be raised and closed like a standard blind yet natural light levels are up to 3 times greater (supported by a report conducted in the Building Science Laboratories, School of Architecture, The University of Sheffield. The transmittance of Venetian blinds is available on the companys website).
The increase in natural daylight levels of a light-shelf blind enhances the feeling of wellbeing, allowing occupants to track the passing of the day and prevailing weather conditions.
