Type of works: new nursery school building providing shelter inside and out.

A suitable replacement to the old, dilapidated structure that had served as a nursery school for many years was needed. Rather than a rather uninspiring, standard cabin or collection of cabins, the wish was for a structure with a degree of style and modernity that could provide sun and rain shelter outside as well as inside.

The whole structural envelope, including the cantilevered canopy needed to be built in a strict 2-week window between the completion of the ground works and commencement of fit-out by the main contractor.

150m² structure complete with 50m² canopy was constructed on time and on budget giving St Johns an attractive, contemporary, yet totally functional structure reflecting the values of a 21st Century school.
