Building products manufacturer Steadmans has supplied materials including roof and wall cladding for a key redevelopment project at Glenavon Football Clubs stadium in Lurgan, Co Armagh.
The company supplied 186 linear metres of ocean blue 0.7 plastisol-coated AS34 single-skin cladding for the roof of the redeveloped Crescent End stand of the IFA Carling Premiership clubs Mourneview Park ground. It also provided matching roof lights, plus ridge and eaves fillers. In addition, Steadmans supplied 183 linear metres of ocean blue 0.5 plastisol-coated AS34 cladding for the side walls of the enclosure.
Steadmans cladding products were the choice of specifier and installer H McLarnon & Sons of Ballymena, Co Antrim. The main contractor on the project was Lurgan-based Russell Brothers Builders and the architect the Miller Partnership of Glasgow.
The re-development project overall included a new disabled viewing area, control room, male, female and disabled toilets, coffee bar, congregation area and wall adjoining the pitch with forward egress gates.
Stephen McLarnon, managing director, H McLarnon & Sons, said: Weve worked with Steadmans products for about 15 years and had used their AS34 cladding before. It proved perfect for the Mourneview Park job, as we again found it straightforward to install, safe, light and capable of being handled manually with ease.
On top of that, the Steadmans products are looking and performing very well now the project is complete, and weve had nothing but positive feedback from the client, whos happy with the result.
Our positive view of Steadmans extends way beyond product quality, however. As the Glenavon job underlined, Id also award them 100 per cent for overall service standards and commitment to doing the best possible job for customers.
