Littlecote House is an Elizabethan manor where both British and US soldiers were stationed during World War II. The US 101st Airborne division, known as the "Band of Brothers", requisitioned part of the house near Hungerford. A war memorial has been unveiled in the grounds. Funds were raised by members of the Royal British Legion and the Kennet Valley at War Trust. stoneCIRCLE manufactured the Portland Stone memorial. The monument consists of a block which is 6' tall and weighs 2.5 tonnes with a plaque attached to it.
