Stylish mailboxes for student accommodation buildings in south-east London have been manufactured and installed by The Safety Letterbox Company, the UK’s leading manufacturer of secure mailing systems.

Specified for their robustness, aesthetics and ease-of-use, the 180 H1 Lateral free-standing mailboxes in red are a distinctive ground-floor solution for the two multi-storey blocks in Great Suffolk Street.

Contractor Mansell Construction Services Ltd has transformed the former pottery site into 230 student accommodation units for the Unite Group, a developer and manager of student housing. The £18 million scheme features one six-storey block with 102 apartment units and office space, while the 13-storey tower behind comprises 128 studios and one-bedroom flats.

SLBC’s fitting team worked closely with both clients to deliver a bespoke, quality and low-maintenance mail system to suit residents’ requirements. The installation was completed on budget and on time, ready for opening in autumn 2010.
