Style's Skyfold partition divides JLT auditorium

One of the largest London office fit-outs of 2013, the new global headquarters of Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) features two vertical-folding Skyfold partitions from Style within the high-status conference auditorium.

Jardine Lloyd Thompson is one of the world’s largest providers of insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits related advice, brokerage and associated services.

“This is a vital, client-facing part of JLT’s offices and has to represent the hallmarks of an extremely prestigious organisation,” comments Steve Jackson, Divisional Projects Director of fit-out specialists for the development, ISG. “Skyfold partitions are certainly impressive as they descend automatically from the ceiling but, more importantly, they also deliver exceptional acoustic privacy, greatly increasing the functionality of the space.”

Enhancing the interior design of the auditorium, both walls have been finished with a Vescom white fabric on one side and an elegant white finish painted on the other.

Skyfold is a fully automatic, vertically rising, acoustic partitioning wall that is housed in the ceiling cavity to maximise floor space. Skyfold glides silently and effortlessly into place with rubber seals creating an acoustic barrier of up to 59dB Rw.
