Architects Sanitov Studio have designed an innovative Houseboat which is moored along the Thames at St Katharine Docks. Alexander Host, the Danish designer behind The Ark, approached Hunter Douglas with an interest in specifying one of their sun control solutions.

Hunter Douglas's Aerofins, for sun shading, were fitted to the boat's exterior to achieve the most comfortable levels of light intensity. The Hunter Douglas Aerofin system is a series of wing-shaped panel elements designed to provide optimum solar control. The rotation angle of the fins is variable up to a maximum of 120 degrees, which suits the sloping exterior of the houseboat.
