Aquaflow™ permeable paving was used at the new GwelanMor Luxury Holiday Park, in Portreath, Cornwall. An area in excess of 2,000sqm used Hanson paving, providing car-parking bays and path areas in between the luxury lodges and throughout the parkland.

Aquaflow provides an aesthetically pleasing paving solution for pathways and parking bays, and is an affordable solution that delivers many environmental benefits.

The project has benefited from a sustainable paving solution, with high importance placed on the paving being complimentary with the surrounding area. Aquaflow’s distinctive style and highly developed technique enabled the criteria to be met. The installation comprised the Aquaflow 80mm variant in Charcoal, edged by a Red Brindle standard kerb for the main areas and Red for demarcation. An infiltration system was also installed.

The Formpave system allows rain to infiltrate through a permeable concrete block-paved surface into a unique stone sub-base where it is cleaned, by filtration and microbial action, before being released in a controlled manner into sewers or water courses, or infiltrated directly into the sub-grade.

GwelanMor Luxury Holiday Park, Cornwall is set in beautiful countryside with spectacular views, and has been developed to include brand new Scandinavian-style lodges for holiday residence, as well as first class clubhouse facilities.
