Supply of grille internally to the glazed area of the students cafe, Nottingham University, Nottingham

28 Nov 2007

Nottingham University, Nottingham

Client: Nottingham University, Nottingham.
Type of works: Supply of one continuous grille internally to the glazed area of the students cafe.

The Dagendor sliding closure was used to give an unobtrusive and aesthetically pleasing barrier, whilst giving a good degree of security. The Dagendor grille offers ease of operation yet can be housed out of sight when not required in a custom-made cupboard. Advantages over other types of grilles include that it runs horizontally, solely on a top track, requiring no obstruction in the floor and has no width restriction. Various grille designs are available but the university chose the S126 model, pleasing to the eye, yet economical.
