In a recent project, SoundSpace Solutions were appointed by the designers and principal contractor to assist a Government department in delivering a 11’000 sq ft call centre at its Manchester HQ.
The scheme is one of three to showcase projects across the UK intended to refresh and update the organisation’s current workspaces as well as encourage new ways of working.
The designers began by liaising closely with user groups to define the brief and gain a cleared understanding of the requirements. This interactive approach allowed the design to evolve throughout the engagement process and led to the creating of a workspace configurations aimed at providing the staff a more flexible environment.
Key to the success of the project was a desire to build a workspace of the future which embraced the latest build materials and allow the freedom for the employees to choose the setting to complete their tasks most productively.
The refurb of an existing site with a design brief of a versatile and adaptable space bring with it the open plan setting that is agile but also acoustically challenging. SoundSpace delivered to the designer’s brief, functional acoustic solutions that are environmentally conscious, aesthetically pleasing and above all fully functional.
