Tanking and damp-proof membranes

Icopal designs, manufactures and installs complete tanking solutions from its comprehensive range of structural waterproofing systems, which are capable of achieving totally dry environments on complex ground structures.

The products can be split into two categories. Cold-applied technology, for membranes that do not require the application of heat during installation, and hot-applied technology, that requires the application of heat via an open flame or bitumen boiler.

Xtra-Seal Diamond cold-applied technology is specifically designed for use as a below-ground waterproofing membrane in lift pits and retaining walls. Its self-adhesive properties enable the membrane to be applied internally or externally, to a variety of substrates.

Imperma SBS torch-on tanking membrane can be applied with heat, using a gas torch. This allows complete bonding to the substrate and a good flow of bitumen ahead of the membrane. Other membranes within the system include Ultra 300 DPM and Blackline 1000.
