Wallbarn was contacted by Contractor Erwood Fencing, who were working on The All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon, London. The Club was redeveloping some of their terraces which had begun to look a little tired and out if date for such a venue.

Due to the prestige of the venue and the value of the corporate entertainment the current level of paving was not to standard and so a better solution was sought.

Wallbarn was requested by the client to provide a cost effective solution with a quick turnaround to create a new fresh look on the terraces.

The contractor was anxious not to interfere with the waterproofing and insulation courses and wanted to use a system tried and tested as a safe solution.

Wallbarn suggested mounting new decorative slabs onto rubber paving supports.

The soft profile and flexible nature of the rubber supports meant there was no risk of damage to the delicate insulation membrane underneath.

Even heavy weights would not lead to the penetration of the membrane.

On the underside of the supports, small channels allow for the dissipation of excess water and proper drainage. There are four equally spaced lugs on the upper side of the supports to assist the even laying of the paving slabs.

A decorative high end finish was achieved using new paving slabs and Wallbarn rubber supports in a very fast turnaround without interfering with the waterproof membrane and ensuring that the current drainage was completely uninterrupted.

The contractor was able to complete the project very quickly and cost effectively to the satisfaction of the client.
