The Commentator radio station, London

18 Aug 2008

Type of works: supply and installation of Wallsorba acoustic panels.

An internet-only radio station in central London, The Commentator, wanted to take the 'deadness' out of the Studio whilst also improving the visual appearance. The size of the studio is very small and therefore it was important not reduce the size of the room at all with thick absorbent products.

The decision was made to use Wallsorba Acoustic Panels on the walls of the studio; these are only 25mm in thickness and would therefore not make a difference to the space within the room. They are also available in a wide range of colours enabling the studio manager to choose a colour which worked well with the room. They were easily installed and instantly transformed the studio from a cosmetic point of view. The studios acoustics were improved overnight!

This installation was carried out by Broadcast Audio.
