Timber Garden Rooms & Conservatories
Timber Garden Rooms
Garden rooms provide a more subtle variation of a glazed building in comparison to a bold Orangery. Generally, Garden rooms, conservatories and orangeries all constitute a garden room, but in Westburys eyes we define it as a semi-glazed and tiled roof building.
Like a conservatory or orangery, they boast high ceilings with plenty of glazed aspects. With glazed gables vaulted ceilings, they are some of the most exciting rooms we build and are often the most efficient due to the vast insulation benefits of the roofs and floors.
A Westbury timber garden room is all about creating a magnificent space carefully integrated into the fabric of the property, but with the power to totally transform a property.
At Westbury we use our extensive experience to provide sympathetic designs to architects and specifiers, to create a new room that feels as if it belongs.
Westbury Timber Conservatories
Reflecting back to the Victorian era where its popularity grew, the traditional fully glazed conservatory has a well-deserved position in British architectural history.
For the right building and situation there is still a place for a traditional timber conservatory. Due to their fully glazed design, a conservatory will often be too hot in summer and too cold in winter.
We make every effort to build our conservatories to be as well insulated as possible to keep the warmth inside, and use effective ventilation and solar reflective glass, minimising the amount of UV entering the room, to keep the room cool in summer.
We welcome the opportunity to work with architects and specifiers to design these traditional buildings. Practical perhaps not, but a truly British architectural icon.
Glazed rooms require special lighting as they let daylight in, but also let the light out at night. We can help you to create the perfect lighting effects in and around your garden room.
By identifying your intend use for the room we can tailor a lighting proposal to suit. We will provide a detailed electrical plan based on your requirements.
In our showroom we display interior and exterior ranges, both traditional and contemporary that includes box lanterns, floor lights, wire chandeliers and pendants, along with stylish lights to illuminate your plants and garden rooms exterior.
Natural Stone Floors
Stone floors are naturally grounding. It will demand a little more care but are far more rewarding than ceramics. What could be better than walking bare foot on warm stone in the winter and cool stone in summer.
Westbury have fifteen different stones panels laid in our showroom in a garden room setting, giving you a good insight into how they will look when laid in your room.
Created from our passion and understanding of gardens and architecture, our collection of beautiful colours represents a subtle pallet of tones chosen to complement and contrast, thus giving depth and shadow.
