An office project in an outstanding building in a prime location overlooking London’s Oxford Street merits a premium interior!

This was achieved with a cleverly designed layout. The fabulous open-plan working environment featured a range of modern work zones which create an inspirational workspace ideal for the occupants’ needs – from vibrant social shared tables to quiet space.

The design includes a mix of social, collaborative, private and meeting spaces, each with its own distinct feel. Vtec’s Timber Slatted Ceilings System were chosen as the ideal solutions for the boardroom and large general meeting space.

Vtec’s MaxiBeam System was specified in a large shared area, as the large-scale beams provide dramatic impact in the central space while being lightweight, and easy to install. MaxiBeam is approximately 50% of the weight of solid oak so requires minimal support work, and is installed using extremely discreet fixing methods so the final result fitted perfectly with the clean and crisp design.

The flexibility of the MaxiBeam system allows unparalleled creativity – literally if desired - with beams designed to produce almost any layout on plan; whether that’s working with straightforward shapes or unique geometric patterns, in a hugely flexible range of sizes and depths.

The Oak veneered finish for the MaxiBeams was selected as a contrast to the lighter ceiling above to beautiful effect.

SupaSlat 4 in Solid Oak also adorns the ceiling in several large meeting rooms (as seen below), reflecting the shape of the boardroom tables that occupy the space.

The wooden slatted ceiling creates strong visual impact in this more formal setting and draws the eye upwards, combining with neutral-coloured tones and textures on the walls to continue the natural feel.

Vtec beams and timber slatted ceilings system integrate perfectly with lighting and services and can ensure easy access to mechanical and electrical services and was rapidly installed into a ceiling grid.

The full-height windows let a huge amount of natural light flood into each zone throughout the building. The mix of neutrals and bold splashes of colour in the scheme, alongside thoughtful details, tie the whole design together and creating a natural cohesion and flow throughout the building.
