Townhill Primary School, Hamilton

Townhill Primary School, Hamilton

Client: Townhill Primary School
Architect: RMJM Architects
Type of works: 1,500sqm of Classcare Plus tiles.

After 45 years in the original school buildings, Townhill Primary Schools staff and students have moved into their new building. Designed to meet the demands of 21st century education the school features 13 classrooms, a computer suite, a library, two open areas, a dining room and a gymnasium.

Some 1,500sqm of Classcare Plus tiles from CEP were introduced for the South Lanarkshire schools project as the request of RMJM Architects on Glasgow to help create an optimum acoustic environment for both students and staff, and have been used on all school projects carried out in the South Lanarkshire Schools build programme.

Classcare Plus utilises the same durable, high density baseboard as the standard Classcare tiles but with an acoustic fleece bonded to the face. This creates a clean, crisp unbroken surface suitable for almost any environment without detracting from the impressive sound absorption and attenuation performance

CEP Ceilings Ltd offers a full range of suspended ceilings and acoustic systems as well as GRG mouldings from their UK bases in Frome and Stafford.
