Tradzinc is the latest cladding product from Rigidal Systems

Tradzinc utilises a special surface treatment to emulate natural zinc during the weathering process. It is available in two finishes - plain mill and weathered - to suit different applications. Plain mill has the appearance of prepatinated zinc during its first year, while the weathered finish is equivalent to zinc after several years of weathering, allowing architects to choose not only the initial appearance of the building but to control how the building will look during its life cycle.

The aesthetic appeal of the zinc appearance is combined in a profile which is lighter in weight and more cost effective than using zinc, yet has an equivalent lifespan. The unique zinc finish of the product is chemically inert and literally ‘shrugs off’ corrosive or UV attack in even the most difficult environments.

Tradzinc lends itself particularly well for integration into existing buildings or more traditional construction, but can also be used on smaller projects or even residential buildings.

In all other respects Tradzinc performs in the same way as Rigidal’s conventional aluminium profiles, and so may be curved (either convex or concave) or tapered, in order to achieve the most exacting design criteria. In addition, Tradzinc can be site rolled if required to achieve maximum flexibility for the product application.
