Troax Builds Secure Computer Storage Facility

15 Mar 2010

Troax UK Limited has designed and built a high-security computer storage facility for use by IT infrastructure services specialist, Computacenter.

Computacenter brought in Troax to construct the secure facility where computers are stored, prior to being issued to offices throughout the country.

To provide the highest possible level of physical security, Troax designed the enclosure using expanded steel mesh panels welded to a heavy-duty steel frame from its Broadsword range of industrial partitions. The mesh partitioning reached right up into the roof void for complete floor-to-ceiling security.

The panels’ diamond-shaped mesh gives a high level of physical strength and is virtually impossible to cut through. The wire mesh design also creates an extra layer of security by providing complete visibility throughout the secure enclosure while offering the added advantage that it allows the effective penetration of sprinkler systems in the event of a fire.

Commenting on the project, Neil Birse from Computacenter said: “We’ve used Troax regularly over the years for this type of project and always found them to be very responsive to our requirements, offering first class service.”
