Troax Launches Online Technical Resource

Troax Launches Online Technical Resource

A new on line technical resource which provides an easy yet structured way for specifiers to access the technical information they need when designing machine safety systems and storage areas has been introduced by safety and storage specialitsts Troax. The company’s customers can now access information on Troax products instantly – an important advantage, especially when working at a factory in another time zone. Information such as product data sheets and safety regulations is now available at the touch of a button.

An important communications platform between Troax and its customers, the online capability is aimed at project engineers and integrators, risk assessors, electrical engineers and other specifiers working in automated manufacturing environments, warehouses and materials handling facilities. It can also be used by specifiers designing domestic storage facilities in apartment blocks.

Customers can now log on to Troax’s website – www.troax.com - to access comprehensive product and technical information, CAD drawings, safety guides and technical manuals. There are four sections within the new guide: the product database, a CAD resource, safety guide and Safe Lock manual.

The product database is designed for project engineers who can download product brochures and data sheets containing the dimensions of a partitioning system’s panels, doors and other fittings - detailed and accurate information that is essential when designing a safety or storage system.

For technical engineers designing machine guarding in warehouses, materials handling and robotics applications, the new CAD resource allows drawings of panel configurations to be downloaded into their choice of CAD programme, making it much simpler to produce final drawings. Choose from eight different CAD formats – Solid Works, Pro/E, Sat, Step, Parasolid, Iges, Dwg and Dxf.

The safety guide contains information on EU safety regulations such as the Machinery Directive, invaluable for assessors carrying out risk assessments and making it easier to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations. There is also a ruler to calculate the safety distance between the machine and the machine guard, enabling specifiers to work out which type of panel system is required.

And for electrical engineers, there is an area dedicated to Troax’s range of Safe Lock locking systems, containing detailed technical manuals with full information on specifying and installing the locking systems within a machine guarding system.

Troax’s new technical resource can be accessed in five languages – English, German, Swedish, French and Spanish.
