Ubbink’s NEW PVC Roof Window

3 Jun 2010

Ubbink has introduced a new range of pivoting roof windows designed to provide efficient and cost-effective solutions for introducing natural light into pitched-roof buildings. Utilising a thermoplastic framework over a steel core, the unit offers excellent thermal performance with U-values of 1.4 W/m2K and 1.1 W/m2K for the frame and double glazing respectively. The innovative frame construction features multiple chambers which contribute to the thermal characteristics. Glazing is high-quality Saint-Gobain glass as standard, with Self-Cleaning Bioclean® glass available as an optional extra.

Recent research has shown that rooflights or roof windows achieving these levels of insulation provide a positive contribution to reducing energy consumption and emissions, by minimising heat loss whilst reducing the need for energy-hungry artificial lighting. The units carry twenty years warranty on the glass and ten years warranty on the frame. Ubbink’s Roof Window fits in well with Ubbink’s sustainable range being launched during 2010 in the UK.
