UK Manufacturer DW Windsor Returns to Ecobuild

Visit stand S545 for class-leading LED and solar/wind powered lighting solutions

Highlights of the DW Windsor stand (S545), in the ILP Lightscene section of Ecobuild, will include the recently launched Kirium LED lantern, as well as details of the new Solar Wind standalone lighting system for exterior applications where no mains power is available.

The IP-66 rated Kirium is an attractively proportioned LED road lantern that is designed for mounting at 4-12 metres. It has excellent energy efficiency (up to 127 lm/W) and exceptional thermal management to ensure a long life for the LED light sources. The Kirium lantern is available in colour temperatures of 4000K (neutral white) or 3000K (warm white). A choice of 1, 2 or 3 LED module options enables the Kirium to cater for P, C and M lighting classes.

The electronic drivers used in the Kirium are fully compatible with leading Central Management Systems (CMS), while also offering switch only or dimming options if preferred.

The new Solar Wind system combines the Kirium LED lantern with a 140W photovoltaic panel, a 400W wind turbine and 2 x 12V batteries, complete with a column that houses the components in its base. It therefore provides a completely stand-alone lighting system powered by a combination of solar and wind energy. The Solar Wind lighting can be controlled by photocell, presence detector or via a timer. Part-night dimming to maximise battery life is also an option.

The solar Wind is also available as a grid-connected system that feeds excess electrical power to the grid during the day. Potentially generating additional revenue through feed-in tariffs. At night, if there is insufficient wind to power the lighting, it will draw additional power from the grid.
