Type of works: design, manufacture and site installation of power-operated large sliding access doors.

Booth was awarded the complete design, manufacture and site installation (in piece small format) by John Mowlem for power-operated large sliding access doors to the naval submarine construction building. The doors provide a 60m wide by 30m high clear access and form part of the tallest building in Cumbria. Each door leaf operates independently running on a bottom track with the full width clear opening achieved by bi-parting operation. The door forms access to a controlled environment for the second largest shipbuilding complex in Europe.
