Underfloor heating

The Energy Saving Screed Co Ltd offers the Zero Carbon energy-saving underfloor heating system. The system saves up to £2 per m² a year on energy costs and over 1,000kg of CO₂ per m³ of screed laid throughout a 70-year lifetime of any building, compared to any other type of screed

Ecoscreed insulation is manufactured from high-density 300kpa extruded polystyrene and is tongued and grooved to allow interlocking of boards. 15mm rebated edge detail around the perimeter edge provides for a 15mm insulation edge strip to full depth of screed, thereby allowing for expansion of the screed.

The system also comprises Ecoscreed UFH (PE-RT) floor heating pipes. They are manufactured from flexible, 5-layer, heat-resisting polyethelene. The pipe-work has a 50 year guarantee, is CE approved and and is tested to DIN 4726 and 4727 standards. The system comes complete with an oxygen diffusion barrier and is renown for its stability and long term life factors. The 5-layer design permanently prevents the damaging effects of ambient moisture on the diffusion barrier layer and the outer PE-RT layer offers protection against any possible damage to the EVOH layer during transport and installation once heating has taken place.
