For this project our brief was to source a suitable material which would seamlessly integrate new brickwork with existing Victorian construction, some of which had failed in previous frosts.

Working with Triton Construction, several samples were submitted to the University’s own Surveyor for authorization. The selected brick was a handmade product from a family-owned firm in Sussex.

In order to Blend the new bricks into the existing elevation, a coarse brush was used to weather down the face of the brick and create an aged appearance.
