Kingspan Insulation has updated its popular guide which offers clear and practical advice on how installing the right insulation can help to achieve a good rating level under the Code for Sustainable Homes.
The guide has been updated to include the improved thermal performance offered by Kingspans Kooltherm and Therma products which are suitable for a range of uses helping to achieve desired U-values with thinner products.
Kingspans premium performance rigid phenolic insulation Kooltherm K-range now has a lambda value as low as 0.020W/m.K, whilst that of the high performance rigid urethane insulation Therma range is now as low as 0.022W/m.K. These lowered lambda values will help to reduce the cost and required product thickness on both new build and refurbishment projects.
The Kingspan guide contains an easy-reference table that provides recommended starting point U-values that are clearly linked to the Code ratings that they will help to attain as well as technical guidance on how to insulate different types of construction to achieve these U-values.
