Variopool movable floors & bulkheads in Aquatic Complex

Aquatic Complex Rozebroeken in Ghent, Belgium is an example of a pool that makes full use of Variopool’s movable floors and bulkheads.

The facility, which offers a 10-lane, Olympic-sized pool at a depth up to 2m, features two movable floors and a three-piece vertical bulkhead. The depth of the two floors can be adapted independently and when used in conjunction with the vertical bulkhead, allows the pool to be configured in a variety of formats.

The pool’s optimal set-up consists of three 50m lanes, seven 25m lanes and seven 22m lanes. But a host of other options are possible. For example, the middle section of the bulkhead can be submerged at 1.40m to create a central lane for 50m laps. Or, the shorter lanes can be used for children’s swimming lessons or a play area, while the other side of the pool host aqua jogging lessons. Meanwhile, the rest of the pool is free for lap swimming.
