Velux bring daylight to Roskilde Cathedral School

Velux Modular Skylights have been installed as part of expansion works at the Roskilde Cathedral School. The project involved constructing several new buildings, including an extension of the canteen and a new teaching section. It was decided to install VELUX Modular Skylights in a ridgelight configuration in both of these areas – a decision that has made a clear difference in the historic Cathedral school.

In the new teaching section, the skylight modules are placed in the front part of the room. Beneath them, space has been created for presentations and lectures, and the students will also be able to use the area for project work.

Teacher Birgitte Thestrup believes the more natural daylight is beneficial for everybody at the school "Daylight isn’t just more comfortable. There are studies that show that humans tend to seek natural light and shade rather than artificial light".
