The unique Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS) has been installed as part of larger renovation works at Chester railway station. The system will be used to combat draughts and reduce external noise. The sash cords were replaced, pulleys serviced and sashes correctly balanced to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the windows.
The £10million works to the grade II listed building were completed in two phases. The original curved window located in the Training Room was given a complete overhaul, whilst the two large curved windows of the Medical Room were also fitted with double-glazed units.
Gareth Ellis, site manager from MPH Construction, who oversaw the project, said: The work that Ventrolla did was very impressive. The craftsmen were professional and efficient, completing the work promptly and delivering a superb finish."
