Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow required a broad range of wall protection products. Gradus supplied and installed approximately 40,000 linear metres of wall protection within the hospital, equating to roughly 25 miles of product.
A combination of handrails and combi-rails were installed to provide support and guidance for individuals, whilst also providing some protection from impact in areas that experience high volumes of pedestrian and wheeled traffic.
Other products used within the project were high impact corner guards to protect the most vulnerable parts of the building and Sanparrel PVC-u sheeting to help reduce and conceal the effects of impact and abrasion.
The new build hospital is set over 26,000 sq. metres and is one of the biggest critical care complexes in Europe.
