Weathering the storm

Weathering the storm

Recent product development research has proven Redland's claim that its landmark range will continue to look good and perform well for years after installation. Part of Redland’s quality assurance process involves the use of weathering stations scattered across the world. These are used to test all Monier tiles against the effects of some of the harshest weather conditions the planet has to offer.

Steve Rose, Product Manager for Redland said: “12 years ago, a Landmark Double Pantile was put to the test at one of our stations where it has remained untouched. We recently went to see how it had weathered and were incredibly pleased with what we found. As you can see in the picture above, the part of the tile that has been exposed to the elements is almost the exact same shade as the part that was covered by the tile above.”

“The roof of a property can account for up to 40 per cent of its façade and plays a key role in creating the desired look of an individual house. This is why we put so much time and effort into ensuring that all Redland tiles stand out as a symbol of quality years after they have been installed.” Landmark tiles are made using Redland’s revolutionary manufacturing process, ColourFusion, enabling tiles to retain their intended appearance for at least 25 years. In another 13 years we’ll go back and see how these tiles are faring once again!
