Wellington Academy, Tidworth, Wiltshire

Client: Wellington Academy
Type of works: supply of Classcare PLUS Ceiling Tiles and Sequence Acoustic Baffles.

Wellington Academy, part of a £32m government funded campus, was given the approval for funding by the Department of Children, Schools and Families and Contractor Kier was selected by Wilstshire Council to design and build the project.

On its 22 acre site the academy’s design reflects the rural surroundings with the site loosely paralleling the house system currently in use at the college. Built to cater for 1,100 students the design specified Classcare PLUS Ceiling Tiles and Sequence Acoustic Baffles from CEP to help create an optimum acoustic environment for both students and staff.

The Sequence range of acoustic baffles offer stunning visual options and outstanding acoustic absorption whilst enabling the air to circulate around them.

Classcare Plus utilises the same durable, high density baseboard as the standard Classcare tiles but with an acoustic fleece bonded to the face. This creates a clean, crisp unbroken surface suitable for almost any environment without detracting from the impressive sound absorption and attenuation performance

CEP Ceilings Ltd offers a full range of suspended ceilings and acoustic systems as well as GRG mouldings from their UK bases in Frome and Stafford.
